The temple is situated just head-to-head to the Renugambal temple. Goddess Amman here is the family deity for Telugu speaking Devanga Chettiar weaver community. Till today devotees who visit this temple buy clothes plain-woven by this community people, theses clothes are used to decorate the deities before the commencement of any big festivals.
