Overview : The temple is know as Chota temple and also called as Thiru Alandurai Mahadevar temple. The temple is a Thevara Vaippu sthalam. In the inscriptions Andanallur is also called as Andavanallur, where Vadateertheswarar is present as Swayambu lingam also with Balasundari Ambikai.
