The Arulmigu Sevugap Perumal Thirukoil is located in Singampunari and is dedicated to God Sevugap Perumal. Kannimoola Ganapathy, God Muruga with his consorts Valli and Deivanai, Parivaara Devathaikal, Karuppannasaamy, Karuppar, Sapta Kannigaikal, the Navagrahas and Chantikeswrar are found in the corridors of the temple. Legend has it that the place where this temple is situated was a Bael wood and a hunter came to hunt. He spotted a deer and shot an arrow at it. But the deer escaped and faded through a hollow tree trunk. The hunter went behind it to find an image of Aiyanaar. The astonished hunter said "O God Sevugap Perumal! I went in search of the deer, but, now I am blessed to serve Thee from this day!" From that day on this protecting deity is known as "Sevugap Perumal Aiyannar".
