Suryanarayana Temple, one of the eminent attractions of Aihole, is devoted to Lord Surya. According to legends, this sanctuary was built in seventh or eighth century. The sanctuary has a 2-feet-high statue of the god, alongside accomplices Usha and Sandhya sitting on a stallion chariot.
