Shiva Temple

Harila Jori, also known as Harihar Jori, is a famous tourist attraction renowned for its Shiva Temple. Situated at a distance of around 8 km and 5 km from Baidyanath Temple and Tower Chowk respectively, the site is located on the northern side of Deoghar. The Shiva Temple was built by Achintan Das and the site also has a huge tank, which is popularly known as Shool Harini Tank. It is also believed that the site also served as a place where both Shiva and Vishnu met each other.

Meaning -We worship the fragrant Lord Shiva, who has 3 eyes and who cultivates all beings. May He free me from death, for immortality, as even a cucumber is separated from its bond with the vine.
