The Trikut Hills situated at 14.3 km from Deoghar on the way to Dumka have gained fame as Trikutachal, one of the best places of tourist interest in the Jharkhand region. This place also gained fame as the only tourist spot in Jharkhand having the famed vertical ropeway. It takes merely 7 minutes to reach the top of the hills by the ropeway. The beauty of the place and the hill gets enhanced with river Mayurakshi having its point of origin. The Shiva Temple is popularly known as Trikutachal Mahadeva Temple. Apart from this, the site also houses an altar of the Goddess of Trishuli and a cottage of sage Dayananda.
