Overview
Bilai Mata Temple, also known by the name Vindhyavasini Temple, in Dhamtari is a popular Hindu shrine that is dedicated to Goddess Durga. This is a very ancient temple that has been constructed beautifully. In fact, this temple is visited by most number of devotees especially during the festive times such as Navratri and Diwali. The carvings on the temple walls depict the brilliance of architects belonging to the earlier times.

Festivals
Bilaimata Fair is organized every year at the end of Magh Mas (January - February) to appease Goddess Durga who is believed to be protecting the locals from bad omen. Navratri and Diwali are the other major festivals celebrated in this temple.
How to Reach Dhamtari
Raipur Airport aka Mana Airport (70 km) is the nearest airport to reach Dhamtari. Dhamtari Railway Station is a narrow gauge line with only a selected number of trains halting here. Dhamtari has its own bus station located in the heart of the city.
