Overview


Satara Ganesh Temple, Famous as the Kuraneshwar or Khinditil Ganapati sanctuary, the structure, houses two sanctuaries one of Lord Ganesh and another of Lord Shiva are arranged on Old Satara-Kolhapur street which is one kilometer far from Satara. Known to be a ancient sanctuary of Swyambhu Ganesh, the Gram daivat of Satara. A substantial no of devotees come here on regular basis to pay a regard of their adored God Ganesha.One more significance of this temple is that the God ganesha is a Suyambu (self made). On ganesha Chaturthi day a hug fair is held.

Tatpurushaaya Vidmahe Vakratundaaya Dheemahe Tanno Danthihi Prachodayaat

Meaning -We meditate on the great power, we call upon the single tusked Ganesh, who grants wishes.
