Overview
Venkatramana Temple is situated at Shri Ananthnagar, 11 km from the Central Silk Board intersection on Hosur Road and around 3 km from Bangalore. Development of the sanctuary started in 1997 and was finished in 2003. The sanctuary is devoted to Balaji, Lord (Venkateshwara). There are different icons of Anjaneya, Ganesha, Lakshmi and Gaurda, all cut by the fanciful Rajal Radha Madhav Shenoy of Karkala in Dakshina Kannada. The model is by the famous Stapathi Karuppiah of Pudukk-ottai close Tanjavoor in Tamil Nadu. The structural exhibit and sculptural stateliness of this sanctuary shows a social union in the sanctuaries in Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
