About the Temple
Lord Sri Rama is believed to be the clan deity of Maharaja Sawai Jagat Singh’s Queen. The Queen is believed to have inspired the Maharaj to construct this temple for Lord Shri Ram Chandra. Other than this shrine, the Maharaja had also built a shrine dedicated to Chandreshwar Mahadeva, also called the Maaji Sahiba Chandrawata. It is said that the queen belonged to the Chandrawata clan and thus the Maharaj established this shrine here commemorating the same.

The temple predominantly reflects the Jaipur style of architecture, which is a perfect blend of Hindu, Jain, Mughal architectures. The shrine boasts of well crafted Jharokhas, brackets, chhajjas and roof. Marble carvings add elegance to the temple. A domical roof and a bunch of small domes present an attractive exterior. Stone and lime jail works in the building add grace to the structure.
