The Moolavar temple is a God Shiva and is located near Pondawakkam which has a gigantic Sivalingam, to reach the temple you must take a right turn at Pondawakkam and travel about 10 Kms at least. After covering the minimum distance from Pondawakkam you will reach Vadathillai and take a left turn from there. Go further to reach the temple, there is another route to reach the temple that is from Mambakkam. Sri Ramanujar's brother was a huge follower go God Dhaiva and he was gifted with a Shivalinga while he was taking a holy dip at Ganges of Kasi, The linga is still present at that place.
