Koreshvar Temple

A very rare type of Shivalinga rests on the shrine of this temple. The body of the linga has four faces of the Mahadev and the faces are adorned with snakes. A fifth snake is present on the narrow mouth of the linga-case (Shalunka). Apart from the linga, the Koreshvar temple has white marble images of Nandi, Ganapati and Parvati. These images are said to have been brought from upper India to Karmala in Sholapur and from there, to Koregaon, sometime in the 19th century.
