Overview
This old lovely sanctuary is dedicated to Ghandihayal devata, otherwise called Jai Shri Ghantakarna Swami. In this sanctuary, generally Haldi (turmeric) is offered to the god. Anything which is red in shade, for example, red desserts, red fabric and so forth is entirely precluded to offer inside. A Ghandiyal Mela is likewise sorted out each year on the third Monday after Vaisakhi at Khirsu.

The nearest airport to this hill station is Jolly Grant, which is located 145 kilometers away. A maximum 6 hours road journey from airport to Khirsu is required to be covered. This airport is connected with daily operated flights from Delhi.

Kotdwar is the nearest railway station. Meter gauge railway line is available upto Kotdwar. Railway station is located 115 kilometers from Khirsu. One will have to be detained at Kotdwar.
Road
Road connections are also available upto Khirsu.Bus service, cabs and other taxies are available upto Khirsu. From Delhi (ISDBT – Kashmiri Gate) routine bus services are available to this hill station. Khirsu falls on national highway number 119.
