Overview
Annakara Chirakkal Bhagavathy Temple also known as Sree Chirackal Temple is located around 6 km from Thrissur in Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali. She is one of the fierce forms of the Great Goddess Shakti.
Festivals
An annual festival is celebreted as a major festival in Annakara Chirakkal Bhagavathy Temple. The annual festival is also noted for various rituals. Traditional performing arts, music and dance are staged during the period. Caparisoned elephants, melam, fireworks and sheevali are part of the festival. The temple is beautifully decorated during the period traditionally with plantain, coconut leaves, flowers, leaves, traditional lamps and lights.
