Sakat Chauth

Sakat Chauth Vrat is undertaken on the fourth day of Krishna paksha, (the blurring period of moon) in the month of Magha as per Hindu lunar timetable. Sakat Chauth is likewise called Ganesh Chauth or Tilkuta Chauth. Ruler Ganesha and the Moon God are worshiped on Sakat Chauth. This vrat is primarily observed in North India and this day is praised as Tilkut Chauth. Fast is observed on this day. It is trusted that fasting on Sakat Chauth expels all deterrents from life and Ganesha favors his devotees with wellbeing, fortune and good kids.
