Archana is a special, personal, abbreviated puja done for you by the Thirukadayoor Temple priest to invoke individual guidance and blessings. Conducted in the Grabhagraha or inner sanctorum of the God Amrithalingeshwarar shrine, the archana is an age old divine process of praying where the priest on behalf of the devotee requests the Almighty for blessings and grace. The Archana form of prayer uses the Panchabootha or five natural elements of Air, Water, Fire, Ether, and Earth symbolically and Nada Brahamam or the sound as a source of energy to seek divine blessings.
