Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple

Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy and Kamakshi Tai temple is said to be in existence since the period of Lord Rama of Threthayuga as it was re - constructed in the year 1150. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Kamkshi, an incarnation of Shakti. Goddess Kamakshi is believed to be an incarnation of Shakti. A 'Sri Chakram' was installed here by Sri Jagadguru Sankaracharya. Pilgrims take a holy dip in the lake known as Kachpa teertham, near the temple, which washes away all bad karma. Jonnawada is the place where the Lord interacts with devotees in dreams during the deep sleep at the temple premises and resolves their problems.

Meaning -We worship the fragrant Lord Shiva, who has 3 eyes and who cultivates all beings. May He free me from death, for immortality, as even a cucumber is separated from its bond with the vine.
