Pringapus Temple

Pringapus temple, evaluated to have been assembled at around the range of 850 Promotion, is spotted in the village of Pringapus, sub-district of Ngadiredjo, Temanggung district-Focal Java. This village is found on the slant of Mt. Sindoro. The area of the Temple is around the range of 5 km from the sub-district of Ngadiredjo and 32 km south east of Temanggung. This Temple has been revamped by the Archeological Organization in 1930. Taking into account building style, this temple is characterized into Shiva Hindu building design. This shows that the temple was assembled to love the Divine force of Shiva and as the copy of Mahameru, the spot of Divine beings and Goddess. The statue of Nandini, Shivas vehicle, and the help of hapsara-hapsari portraying half human and half god animals, are as proofs to this conclusion. This temple was developed of andesite shakes standing on the range of in the vicinity of 29.68 m square. There is the relationship between Pringapus temple and the engraving of Argapura dating in 852 Advertisement. The amounts of the year cut on the foot of the Temple is evaluated demonstrating the finishing of its development at 772 Saka (=850AD). Studying the date of the development, the temple was perhaps fabricated at the region of Syailendra Dynasty.
