Sri Raghavendhra was a keen devotee of Sri Moola Rama and Sri Panchamukha Anjaneya. Sri Raghavendhra performed penance here for nearly 12 years and got the blessings of God Hanuman in the form of Sri Panchamukha Anjaneya, an incarnation of God Hanuman, combining within him are the avatars or forms of Varaha, Garuda, Anjaneya, Narasimha and Hayagreeva. The anjaneya is a swayambu (self-manifested) engraving on the rocky cave.
