Overview
Kappada Mallesha Temple is in Kappadagudda, 25 km from Gadag in Karnataka. To reach the temple, devotees have to walk barefoot. One unique feature of this place is that devotees, who come here for ‘darshan’, build houses as offering to Lord Kappada Mallesha. They believe that their wish will be fulfilled if they build a house on this hill.The hill is the treasure house of Ayurvedic medicines and manganese ore. There are also the temples of Gali Basavanna, Gangebavi, and Srishailajjara Mutt.
