The Baladev Temple is dedicated to god Vishnu located in the village of Bramhapura, on the outskirts of the Patnagarh area of Bolangir district, Odisha. The temple is accessible by State Highway 42 and lies about 300 meters of the west of the highway from Bolangir to Khariar. Based on architectural features and historical accounts of the priests, the temple is dated to be built during the Chauhan Rule sometime around the 15th or 16th centuries. The temple also hosts the deity trinity of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra And Subhadra. In addition to images of Jagamohana carved into the niches of the southern wall, the temple bada has several horizontal mouldings and a platform mounted Vimana that enamour those who visit the temple. Rath Yatras, Karthika Purnima, Nama-Yajna Pravachana and Dola Purnima are some of the festivals that the temple plays to host to. People flock to the temple to pray for fame, wealth and courage. Prayer at the temple is said to cure diseases, alleviate bad planetary influences, freedom from bondage and absolve sins.
