The Arulmigu Sivaloga Thiyagaraja Temple is located in Thirukovil and is dedicated to God Arulmigu Sivaloga Thiyagaraja. Thirugnanasambhanda was to marry the daughter of Nambiyandar Nambi of Nallur, when he was sixteen years old. When he came to the girl's home, he went around fire and prayed to Shiva singing a pathigam. Shiva appeared before him as a jyothi and asked him and all the guests to merge with the Eternal Light. Thirugnanasambhanda sang his last pathigam, and along with his wife and the guests, merged with the Jyothi. Sambhanda was born in Sirkazhi to Sivapada Hridhaya. Once day, when he was three years old, his father left him sitting on a step of the Sattainathar kovil, so he could have a bath in the tank. The child was hungry and started to cry. It seems that the Goddess Parvathi appeared there, along with Shiva and fed him with her breast milk in a gold cup. Along with this, she also fed him the Milk of Divine Wisdom. He was known from that day onwards as Thirugnanasambhanda.

Meaning -We worship the fragrant Lord Shiva, who has 3 eyes and who cultivates all beings. May He free me from death, for immortality, as even a cucumber is separated from its bond with the vine.
