The Ardhanarishwar idol here is also known as 'Movable Baneswar' owing to the fact that on Madan Chaturdashi and Dol Purnima, this idol is temporarily carried to the Madan Mohan temple. There is a big pond within the temple that is home to a large number of tortoises.
