Surya Grahan

The Earth, Moon and the Sun are involved when it comes to the formation of a lunar or a solar eclipse. In a solar eclipse, the moon blocks the light of the sun and therefore, it is called the Solar eclipse or Surya Grahan. The duration of the eclipse varies during which the moon covering the sun doesn’t let the rays of the sun reach the Earth. The solar eclipse affects all living beings – humans, birds, bees and animals. This year, we will be witnessing a Surya Grahan or a Solar Eclipse on two occasions, once on 26th of February and then on the 21st of August.
