Shravana Putrada Ekadashi

The ekadashi that falls during the Shukla Paksha (the bright fortnight of moon) in the Hindu month of ‘Shravana’ is celebrated as Shravan Putrada Ekadashi. This ekadashi is also known as ‘Pavitra Ekadashi’ and ‘Pavitropana Ekadashi’. In the Gregorian calendar the date falls somewhere between July to August. The Shravan Putrada Ekadashi is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and this ekadashi vrat is observed by husband and wife, in order to be blessed with a son.
