Darsha Bhavuka Amavasya

Bhavuka Amavasya is observed on the no moon day or Amavas day in the Jyeshta month as per traditional Hindu calendar followed in North India. Bhavuka Amavasya 2017 date is May 25. The corresponding Amavasi in western and southern parts of India is the Vaishakh Amavasya. The day is chosen for performing Shradh, Pinda Dan and Tarpan. Vat Savitri Amavasya Vrat, Bargadahi Amavasya and Shani Jayanti are observed on the day annually.
