Overview
Sri Ram Temple in Ramatheertham is located in Vijayanagaram district of Andhra Pradesh. This temple is dedicated to Lord Ram along with His consort Sita and Lakshmana.
Legend and Stories
This temple was built in 3rd Century. It is located in the Bavikonda Hills. River Champa flows beneath the Hill between Bhaskar Lake and Neelachalam Hills. The idols in the temple were installed by Pandavas during their exile period. Sri Pedda Jiyar Swami installed Ramasthoopam in the temple. We can see turtles with Namam (marks of Vishnu) roaming inside the temple premises.
