Aanjaneya Swami Temple

The Aanjaneya Swami Temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman and is located in Mutyampeta, in Mallyal, in Karim Nagar, Andhra Pradesh, India. The temple is situated amidst hills, valleys and water springs. Kondagattu is known to be a very scenic locale. According to popular belief, the temple was built by a cowherd some 300 years ago. The current temple has been built 160 years ago by Krishna Rao Deshmukh. Apart from the temple, the fort of Kondalaraya and the Bojjapotana caves are worth seeing at Kondagattu. The temple is situated at about 35 kilometres from Karimnagar and is dedicated to Lord Anjaneya Swamy. According to legend, the temple was constructed by a cowherd about 300 years ago. The present day form was built 160 years ago by Krishna Rao Deshmukh. It is believed that if a woman offers puja in the temple for 40 days, she will be blessed with a child. It is about 30 kilometres from Vemulavada, which is another well known temple in Karimnagar. There is a Ghat Road from the hilltop to the base.

Meaning -Oh Lord Hanuman who has a mystical form, who adorns a silk garment in yellow and who looks similar to molten gold, let thy be auspiciousness.

Anjana Nandanam Veeram Janaki Soka Naasanam, Kapeesa Maksha Hantharam, Vandhe Lanka Bhayankaram

Meaning -We salute Lanka's horror, Anjana's brave son, who ended Sita's sorrows, the ruler of monkeys and the one who killed Aksha, Ravana's son.
