Aditya Temple

The Aditya Temple or the Sun God Temple, at ramak village is a spectacular shrine. Located at a distance of about 75 kilometers from champawat, this temple is right at the lap of nature. Surrounded with fauna, and lush, dense Forest, with views of snow capped peaks this shrine is truly spectacular. Architechturally the temple's structure resembles that of Konark Sun Temple, in Orrisa. It is beleived that that the Pandavas during agyat vaas, the period of inconspicous exile visited this shrine and prayed to Shiva and the Sun God. During the 16th Century, King Chand the devout emperor is believed to have built this temple.

Meaning -We worship the fragrant Lord Shiva, who has 3 eyes and who cultivates all beings. May He free me from death, for immortality, as even a cucumber is separated from its bond with the vine.
