Overview
Karak Sri Subramaniar Temple is dedicated to Lord Muruga and is located on the left side of Kuala Lumpur - Kuantan highway. In the beginning, it was installed in a shed by the JKR government workers.
About the Temple
Devotees visit this temple while travelling to the city and while visiting other temple groups in the East. The tourist buses generally halt to pay respect at this temple, before going to the Maran Sri Marathaandavar Temple. Recurrent devotees offer thanksgiving in this temple, as a sign of their wish fulfilment. The Thai pusam festival is celebrated in a grandiose manner. Paal kodam (milk pots), kaavadis are carried and offered to lord Muruga. Devotees are discouraged to pierce Alagu’s ie. Alagu kaavadi’s.
Abisheka timings
Morning 6.30 a.m and evening 3p.m
In the month of Maarghazhi abisheka is performed at 4.30 a.m
Festival
The main festivals celebrated here are Thaipoosam, Thiruvilakku, Kandha Sashti, Thirukkalyaanam and Kaarththigai. Spiritual disclosures are also presented regularly. Bhajans are held every Friday evening.

Timings
The temple priest is available between 7am and 9am; from 3pm to 9pm daily. The rest of the time the sanctum is closed due to security reasons, however the temple will remain open for devotees to worship.
