Jogeswar Temple

Patora in Nuapada District of Orissa is famous for Lord Siva Yogeswar. Although the temple is new, the Linga of Lord Siva (Sibalinga) is pretty old, dating back to 6th century. The new temple of Lord Yogeswar is built out of rehabilitation assistance fund and unexpected source including helping hands of local people. The help of cassette king late Gulshan Kumar is significant. He has donated all the marble fitted so far. A "Jugal Murti" of Shiba-Parvati craved out of single stone is placed as his spiritual gift in the sanctum-sanctorium Ram temple is located down hill. 40 feet Hanuman statue is also a centre of attraction there.
