The Uchishta Ganapathi Temple is located in Tirunelveli and is dedicated to God Ganapathi. The main tower of the temple has five tiers. There are no idols present in the Mahamandapam. Uchishta Ganapathy is one of the 32 forms of Vinayaka. Though he is considered as a Brahmachari (one who has taken the vow of celibacy), the depiction of him embracing a woman is explained as his granting child boon. The temple has a five tier main tower-Rajagopuram. There is a long open space after the tower to enter the temple. There are no idols in the Mahamandap.

Meaning -Oh elephant-faced Lord, who is served by all the Ganas, who consumes the essence of Kapitta and Jamboophala, His favourite fruits, who is Uma's son, who destroys the gloom of His devotees, who handles hurdles, we worship your lotus feet.

Meaning -We meditate on the great power, we call upon the single tusked Ganesh, who grants wishes.
