This temple is located on Temblai hill in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. The presiding deity is Goddess Temlabai - sister of Goddess Mahalakshmi. According to mythology Goddess Temlabai helped Goddess Mahalakshmi to fight the demons. But after the victory Goddess Mahalakshmi failed to pay respects to Goddess Temlabai and ignored her and this angered her and so she settled in the hill Temblai. A huge statue of Lord Ganapathi can also be seen on top of the hill.
