Swarnapureeswarar Temple

Ashok Nagar, one of the busiest localities of Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu, India, has a beautiful small temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, which not very well-known amongst most of the citizens of Chennai city. The temple is called Swarnapureeswarar temple.

Meaning -We worship the fragrant Lord Shiva, who has 3 eyes and who cultivates all beings. May He free me from death, for immortality, as even a cucumber is separated from its bond with the vine.
