The Sri Yoga Narasimhar Temple is located in Othakadai and is dedicated to God Yoga Narasimhar. Once, Sage Romasa performed a yaga seeking to be blessed with a son. He wanted to see in the God in his Narasimha avatar. The God obliged and the world couldn't bear the heat that the God's fury generated. Prahlada tried to calm down the God but failed. Mahalakshmi then appeared and calmed the God down, turning him into Yoganarasimha.
