Legend and Stories

Legend has it that Nambi Andar Nambi gathered and spared the consecrated Thevaram hyms from bugs and altered them. While he was youthful, he watched his dad offering nivedhana to Polla Pillar-Vinayaka. Days after the fact, the time has desired Nambi to assume responsibility of the brotherhood of the sanctuary. He offered nivedhana to Lord. Polla Pillar was so quiet and declined to take the nivedhana. Nambi started to sob. He hit his head on the feet of Lord Vinayaka and cried. Satisfied with his bhakti, Vinayaka acknowledged his offer and expended it. Lord Rajaraja Cholan has learnt of this occurrence and did not trust the marvel. The ruler conveyed another nivedhana and requested that Nambi offer it to Lord Vinayaka. Polla-Pillar at the end of the day denied the nivedhana. Nambi then sang Mani Malai psalms with touching petitions. Master Vinayaka devoured the nivedhana within the sight of all. It is this Nambi who has gathered, assembled all the thevarams composed by 63 Nayanmars and spared them for successors from being demolished by bugs and different bugs. As a result of this, Shiva enthusiast Nambi and King Rajaraja's objects of worship are likewise introduced.
