Situated on the western outskirts of Bangalore, Sri Saumyakali Temple enshrines an attractive idol of Sri Saumyakali seated in Virasana posture on a high pedestal. The sanctum sanctum and the ardhmantapa are built in stone and in front of the temple is a 25 feet tall Dwajasthambha (flag post) carved in monolith stone. The beautiful figures of different deities and Saptarshis are carved on its walls and ceiling. The temple premise has a yagashala and a prayer hall. The temple is set in peaceful natural surroundings covering an area of nearly 1 acre.
