About the Temple

According to Legends, the vigraha of the Lord was unearthed by a cowherd somewhere near the borders of princely States Karauli and Dholpur. Maharaja Keerat Singh who had then ruled over the present Dholpur Chhawani region, bought the vigraha from the cowherd and had built a temple for the Lord, in front of his royal palace.

The temple follows Sri Vaishnava customs and traditions that were propagated by Saint Sri Ramanuja.
