Overview
The little village of Sukharia, is located next to the Somra Bazar station, on the Bandel – Katwa rail line.Sukharia has the peculiarity of housing some of the finest temple architecture of Bengal built by Mitra Mustafi family.
About The Temple
Nistarini Temple is located at Sukharia in Hooghly district of West Bengal. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali. It was probably constructed in 1847 by the Mustafi family. This is one of the nava-ratna temple in this area. The temple was once flanked by a natmandir but it has long collapsed. Four pillars are all that remains of it. A few pillars and arches bear evidence to a glorious past.
