About The Temple


From outside it looks like a regular temple, but the main temple complex is bordered by the water making it more interesting. One can see the water flowing below the 2 holes on sides of the paadukas (feet) of Shree Nagavelambika Devi. The Devi is also denoted to as Jaladurga. The name of kalyani here is 'nandibaavi / nandibowdi'. The height of the water in this kalyaani is always 5 feet throughout the year. The water is clean and devotees can take a dip. There is No fear of drowning here. The source of this water is unknown. The water will always be overflowing (recirculation). The excess water reaches the Nagalambika temple surrounding it. Then it will go out of the temple and flow onto the agricultural fields.
