About The Temple

Legend and Stories

Legend per the Mahabharata, the Kurukshetra war brought about the demise of all the hundred children of Gandhari. On the night prior to Duryodhana's demise, Lord Krishna went to Gandhari to offer his sympathies. Gandhari felt that Krishna intentionally did not put a conclusion to the war, and in an attack of fury and distress, Gandhari reviled that Krishna, alongside other people from the Yadu line, would die following 36 years.
