Overview


Kapil Muneshwar Ji Temple is located in Kolayat village at Bikaner district in Rajasthan. This temple is dedicated to Lord Muneshwar.


About The Deity


In the inner temple, the idol is of black marble and one of white marble. One idol is that of Kapil Muni and in left side is Garudji and in right side Vashishthaji and other one is of his Mother Devahuti.It is front side of the temple.


About the Temple


The temple was built in 16th century and its founder was Maharaja Raisingh. The king felt that the sacred place was a site for ascetiasm used by the sage Kapil Muni. Therefore, he built this temple for perpetual memory of the place.

The temples of Kapil Muni are a few in numbers and this is one of them. Since the temple is located by the side of a beautiful water body and its beauty has been enhanced all the more and now it has become a spot for the tourists to visit.

A big fair is held on the Poornima of the month of Kartika.
