About the Temple:Described marvelously the architectural structure of The Kadambu Udaiya Nayanar Temple situated at the hillock inhibits the conceptual architecture during the period of Ashoka. Dedicated to Goddess Mangalambigai and Nagarisvaram, the temple is located at Narthamalai.Between the shrine there is a small water body and the words depicted in the temple wall and surrounding reveals the realm of Rajaraja I and Rajendra II. Remarkable feature which adds beauty to the temple is the water filled trench which are surrounded by shrines and the huge hilly rock in the backdrop.
