Jyotirling Temple

A six-pillared sabhamandap and a very narrow gabhara constitute this very old Jyotirling temple. Delicate and attractive carvings decorate the door frame of the slightly elevated gabhara. A sikhar crowns the medium sized gabhara and a four-handed idol of Jyotirling is placed in it. Different from the usual Shivling, the idol here is in a standing posture and one of its elbows rests on a hooded cobra. The left hand holds a trisul and a kamandalu and the right hand holds a tabor and a sword. A six-pillared sabhamandap and a very narrow gabhara constitute this very old Jyotirling temple.
