About The Temple

The Ishwara temple has been built using the material soapstone. The temple has just a single shrine within it and two mantapas (halls). Out of these two mantapas, one remains closed, while the other is opened. The sanctum sanctorum (garbhagriha) houses the divine Shiva linga which symbolises God Shiva. Devotees usually gather at the main mantapa for taking part in the temple poojas. The closed mantapa has nine compartments, with not even a single window.
