About the temple

Halurameshwara Temple

The non-descript Halu Rameshwara Temple gained prominence due to the Wishing Well, also known as Udbhavagange. The temple has two structures – the bigger of the two structures is at the entrance of the temple and the smaller one is at the back. The well is connected to a tank outside the temple. Once you enter the temple, you will notice that the temple is not well illuminated. The light from the oil lamps and the dim sunlight seeping through the door are the only sources of illumination. You will also notice a priest sitting on a stone paving. Flowers, bananas, betel leaves and other puja items are piled up on a beam adjacent to the idol. The story here is that the miracle has been taking place for decades. However, no one has been able to unravel the mystery behind this remarkable phenomenon.
