The Dattatraya temple is situated amidst a neem tree grove and is built on an elevated ground, with the shrine facing the east. The Despandes of Ankalkhop built this temple that houses Dattatraya's footprints. Krsnarav Trimbak Bitpat rebuilt this temple in 1860. A flight of stairs that lead to the entrance gate is believed to have been built by the donation of alms gathered by the devotees.
