Overview : Dagduseth Halwai Ganpati Temple is one of the most seasoned Ganpati temples in Pune,Maharashtra.Dagduseth Temple was Established in the year 1893.The temple is found near Shaniwarwada in the heart of Pune city.A halwai or sweetmaker called Dagdusheth is credited for building this temple.It is trusted that he lost his child in a maladie flare up which dove him and his wife in a condition of discouragement.To bring him out of this state, his Guru informed him to make symbols with respect to Lord Ganesha and Shree Datta Maharaj and deal with them like he would father his child.It was then that the first icon of Ganesha was made.
