Tiruvalam polil is a Lord Shiva temple located in Vellore,Tamil Nadu.It is one of the 276 Thevara Padal petras sthalams. The Main Deity here is Aaathmanaatheswarar who stands facing west and is a swayambu,i.e. Self-manifested, and this place is worshipped by the Kasyapar plus ashtavasus and is among the sapta sthanas. The temple has a sanctum sanctorum of Lord Subrahmanya, Navagrahas and the Quartets of Thevaram (‘Naalvar’). Lord Indra got rid of curse by having a bath in the temple's white lotus pond. Here Sundarar was retold to wed Nandi. According to traditions, one can attain wisdom by worshipping the Goddess here. The cemented corridor has the sculptures of Pancha Lingam, Dakshinamurti, Moola Vinayakar, Kasi Viswanathar, Lord Muruga with his Consorts Valli and Deivanai, Chandikeswarar, Kasi Visalakshi, the Navagrahas, and Nataraja. The inscriptions here state the Lord as "tenparampaikuti tiruvalam polil utaya nathar". Appar has chanted "tenparampaikutiyinmeya tiruvalm polilanai cinti nence" in his Tirutantakam. It represents that the city was identified as Parampaikuti, while the temple as Tiruvalam Polil.
