Overview


Ashapurak Ganpathy Temple is one of the 21 Ganesha temples located at Namalgaon on Jalna road 6 km on north of Beed district. Bhrushudivarad had established this temple. It is one of the renowned Ganesha temples in the Marathwada region. Earlier, this place was called as Ashapurak Amalaashram.


About The Temple


It is located on the congruence of river Karpara, Bendsura and Narmada. The lotus styled temple has a four feet beautiful idol of Sri Ganesha in standing posture. The temple complex has also a Sage Bhrusundi Temple and Ganesha Kund where Yama is believed to have taken a bath. Beside the temple there is a water tank. The people who suffer from leprosy take bath in the tank and get relief.
